I read this interview once of Joan Didion and the New Yorker, and at the end of the interview, she mentioned that she believed in using the good silver every day, because every day is all there is. This statement has never left my mind since.

Go to that cafe you've been wanting to visit for so long, write in that brand new journal, use that expensive mug, watch the sunset with your friends, collect as many experiences as you can because every day is all there is. Why wait for special occasions to use the fancy silverwares? We don't even know if that day will come. Stop saving things for the future because it's the most uncertain thing in our lives.
